Cleaning Floors When You Own Pets
If you have indoor pets, if at all possible, get rid of any carpet and replace with wood, tile, vinyl or ceramic floors. Not only will these be easier to clean, they will also cut down on the accumulation of pet hair and make it much easier to spot accidents.

When cleaning vinyl, tile, ceramic, or wood floors, mop the floor first, then sweep. Why? Because the water will cause the hair to adhere to the floor rather than flying through the air and up your nose and into your eyes. Once you have mopped, then go back and sweep the grit and damp hair off the floor.
